As an Orthopaedic Consultant at Flinders Medical Centre, Dr Awwad plays an active role in training and mentoring the next generation of surgeons. He is a Principal Investigator in the ROADMAP Study, an international research initiative aimed at improving outcomes for patients with hip and knee joint
infections. Dr Awwad combines strong academic involvement with broad clinical experience in his subspecialty practice. He is a Fellow of the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons, a Fellow of the Australian Orthopaedic Association, and a member of the Girdlestone Orthopaedic Society for Oxford-trained surgeons.
He consults at Flinders Private Hospital, Ashford Specialist Suites and the Western Hospital, providing care to patients from across Adelaide and South Australia.
